Preview of Book IV Now Available

The paperback of Brisingr (just released yesterday, April 13th) is reported to include an excerpt from Book IV of the Inheritance Cycle. The chapter (titled King Cat) is the fourth in the book.

Shur'tugal.com reports that werecats finally come into play in the chapter.

The floating rock at Eaom

In Brisingr when Arya and Eragon are on thier way to the Varden, Arya uses "The floating rock/crystal at Eaom" As an example of self- perpetuating magic. I think this, and the other self-perpetuating magic items she mentions and i cant remember off the top of my head,(lol), will play a role in book 4. For example, they generate their own energy. Do you think Eragon could possibly tap into these and use them as recources?
EDIT: The other examples are the Dream Well in Mani's Caves inthe Beors and the werelights in the swamps near Aroughs. Also, in Eldest, Oromis calls them huge but unpredictable sources of energy.

What Did the Menoa Tree take from Eragon?

So i was wondering if anyone had any ideas of what the Menoa Tree took from Eragon when he asked it for the Brightsteel ore. When Eragon asks for the Brightsteel he tells the Menoa tree she can have whatever she wants, then "Eragon felt a slight twinge in his lower belly. He winced and rubbed at the spot, but the momentary flare of discomfort had already vanished." Then the Menoa tree releases them and gives them the ore. Any ideas? [/size][/font]
